The control tower at Wyton is one of the more attractive designs, and despite its later alterations and the colourful paint work still retains much of its original structure and appearance. This villa type dates from around 1939.

In front of the tower remains the station identification letters.

The view from the tower shows the current occupants of the airfield itself, the massed trainers of the University Air Squadron. Also flying from the airfield is the local police helicopter. There is no fuel here now for the types of planes flown from here during RAF days.

Also from the tower, a better view of the hangerage still in existence from the expansion period re-fit of the site.

The facilities on the site have included many things over the years including this restaurant, the building plainly from the expansion period.

This building is perhaps not so stylish but contains a pub now.

The gate guardian at Wyton is this fine Canberra, appropriate for this field from where they flew, but it might have been nice to see something like a Mosquito, if they were not so rare, or even a V bomber!
